當然，前提是內化必須在搭配前後文及其前後脈絡下 (in the context) 進行背誦才會有效. 千萬不要落入了流傳已久"背字典"的巢臼; 廣讀與使用才是學習背誦字彙或片語的不二王道.

1. cream of the crop 出類拔萃的  (直譯: 最上面的奶油)
